The install date was promised
before anyone saw the site.

Installation businesses rarely lose money on the technology. They lose it between survey, design, procurement and the field, where one commitment quietly stops matching another. We connect enquiry through to the installed asset so dates are made on evidence and margin is visible while it can still change.

See how the work connects

We do not take responsibility for statutory, technical or grid approvals.

Sound familiar?

Six sentences we hear from installers.

If two or three are true, the issue is how commitments are connected rather than how well the teams work.

  • We promised the date before anyone had been to site.

Qualification and survey happen after the commitment rather than before it.

  • The design changed. The quote did not.

Equipment, quantity and configuration move without the commercial consequence following.

  • The team turned up and the kit had not arrived.

Lead times and allocation are not visible against the installation date.

  • We are waiting on the customer, or the DNO. Nobody is sure which.

External dependencies have no owner, date or status inside the plan.

  • It is commissioned, but nobody created the asset record.

Serial numbers, warranty and entitlement stay in the handover pack.

  • We find out the margin when the last invoice lands.

Committed cost, subcontract and labour never meet the baseline in time to act.

How the work should connect

From enquiry to a serviced asset.

Each step either earns the installation date or quietly puts it at risk.

  1. Qualify: Site suitability, requirement, permissions and timing before a promise.
  2. Survey: The site captured as structured information, not photos in an inbox.
  3. Design: Equipment, quantity, configuration, assumptions and approvals with a version.
  4. Quote: Products, labour, subcontract, margin, exclusions and payment terms.
  5. Handover: The promise made to the customer transferring intact into delivery.
  6. Procure: Supplier orders, lead times and shortages visible against the date.
  7. Install: Work orders, checks, photos, parts, time and issues from the field.
  8. Commission: Testing, certification and the point an installation becomes an asset.
  9. Service: Reactive and planned work against a known asset and its history.

Four decisions

Four points where you can stop, change route or carry on.

Installations continue while a programme runs. The decision points have to be real, and early.

We agree what kind of installation business you run
Gate 1Before design

We agree what kind of installation business you run

Installation-led, project-led and service-led renewable businesses behave differently. That is settled before any platform conversation.

Confirmed at this gate

  • Business model and technology or service context
  • The journey from enquiry to installed asset
  • Survey and design process, including what stays outside the platform
  • Project, procurement and installation model
  • Asset ownership and the service model, where one exists
  • The business outcome leadership is asking for

Decision

  • Proceed
  • Investigate a specific area first
  • Transform first, where the operating model is not agreed
  • A different industry route, where this is not installation-led

Where to start

Tell us how you install, and we will tell you what the situation supports.

A few questions, carried into the conversation so nothing needs repeating.

Question 1 of 5

0 of 5 answered

1. Where are you today?

This is what decides the commercial route. Everything else refines it.

Common questions

Questions renewable leaders ask us.

A conversation, not a pitch

Where do installations lose control?

Survey, design change, equipment, field execution, handover or margin. Tell us where it hurts and we will be straight about what would help and what would not.
